Asieh Salimian is a curator and art critic, specializing in contemporary art. She holds a Master of arts in research and works as a freelance curator, living and working between Europe (Berlin) and Iran (Tehran). She was born in 1988 in Isfahan.
Salimian's curatorial interests revolve around feminism, transnational issues, and hegemony in the field of contemporary art. From 2016 to 2019, she curated several exhibitions in Europe and Iran, featuring international artists. In 2015, she initiated an interdisciplinary network of researchers and artists in collaboration with artist Shahram Entekhabi. Additionally, she had several research stays at the video forum of Neuer Berliner Kunstverein (n.b.k.) in Berlin from 2016 to 2020.
